Located on the south shore just minutes from downtown Boston lies Quincy. It is the 8th largest city in Massachusetts and is referred to as “The City of Presidents” as it was the birthplace of two U.S. presidents both John Adams and John Quincy Adams.
Quincy offers several sections, all different is size and offerings. From island-like locations like Squantum, Marina Bay, Hough’s Neck or Germantown to the more downtown feel of Quincy Center along the Red Line T offering numerous retail establishments, there is something for everyone in Quincy.
Historically, Quincy was home to a granite industry followed by the commercial railroad industry. Shipbuilding also played a big part in what the town was noted for. In more recent years, Quincy was the founding town to both Howard Johnson’s as well as Dunkin Donuts. Today, the city is a diverse neighborhood close to Boston offering great coastal living.
